GAME 52: OVERVIEW

Game 52 is the Golden Peacock's most popular game and (allegedly) the reason why your characters have been checked in. Often shortened to "52" by long-standing guests and resort employees, the game establishes a society where characters are cards in a deck. The goal of the game is to build your own deck by collecting 52 cards.

Game 52 is based on the real-life trick card game 52 Pickup. The goal of the game is to "pick up" the entire deck from the floor after someone throws it to the ground. Yes—the fact that this game is a trick is an intentional move on our part. Game 52 and the reality of your characters' situation is more complex than it initially appears.

GAME 52: BASICS

Characters will be assigned a card value by the mods upon acceptance. The value will be chosen based upon the information provided in your application. Over the course of the game a character's rank can change but their suit will always remain the same. Rank dictates their position within the resort’s hierarchy (external conflict) while their suit is a personal battle (internal conflict).

Example: Bob may begin the game as a 2♥ but through effort and rewards he can manage to upgrade to a K♥. Bob’s rank has changed and his quality of life is vastly improved. Bob's suit does not change because this assignment is from the house to challenge his character.

Examples of card values that may be assigned are Queen of Hearts (Q♥), 10 of Diamonds (10♦), 3 of Spades (3♠), and so on. They are all values you will find in a standard playing card deck. Game 52 follows the rules of a standard playing card deck for the worth of each card.

Game 52 dictates everything about your character's stay in the resort. Rank reflects their socioeconomic standing within the resort. 2 is the lowest rank and has the worst accommodations and the least amount of resources. King is the highest rank and has the best accommodations and are given special privileges.

This hierarchy is strictly observed by the resort and its guests. The higher the rank the better treatment. Low ranks are often dismissed and forgotten in favor of higher ranks. Characters will notice that among the long-standing guests at the resort, higher ranks look down on lower ranks.

GAME 52: PLAY

The goal of the game is to collect a complete deck of cards. To collect another character’s card value, your character must have a sexual encounter with that character. We will generally consider a climax (or orgasm) of one of the parties in the thread as completed (though we encourage you to enjoy your threads to the fullest). We may make exceptions for fail sex and the like as long as some sort of kink was achieved. Upon completion, both characters’ Watches will register the other’s current card value as collected.

Once a character has had a sexual encounter with one of each card value, thus completing their deck, they will be rewarded the grand prize. Any wish their heart desires! Isn't that amazing? Completely worth sticking around and playing the game, right?

Example: John (6♦) and Amy (3♣) engage in kinky spanking and he orgasms. John collects a 3♣ and Amy collects a 6♦. These card values are in their Game 52 decks permanently. Amy then completes a sex act with Ellie (6♦). This is a double card for Amy and no changes will be made to Amy's Game 52 deck. Ellie will collect 3♣ for her own deck since it is not a double for her.

On an OOC level, we ask players to keep track of their completed smut threads for the sake of rewards and Game 52. We have provided a table code below for player use but it is not mandatory. Please keep track however works best for you.

GAME 52: DOUBLES

Doubles do not count toward a character's Game 52 deck. However, this does not mean that they have no purpose. Doubles are essential for characters to earn chips and rewards. The more doubles of a card value that a character collects, the bigger payouts they will receive.

GAME 52: HANDS

Hands are combinations of collected cards that players may submit for rewards. They are based on poker hands. Winning hands are essential toward improving a character's quality of life in the resort—or dragging other characters down to their level.

The full extent of hands and their rewards are elaborated on further on the rewards page.

GAME 52: RANK

Characters will have opportunities to change their rank through game events and rewards. Winning hands submitted to the rewards page will also have the option to change raise their rank. There will also be opportunities to lower a character's rank, either your own or another.

Deck completion relies solely on card values. If John changes his card value by raising his rank from 6♦ to 8♦, Amy can have another encounter with him to collect a 8♦ for her deck.

GAME 52: THE SKINNY

Game 52 will be presented to characters as a fun and straightforward game to enjoy during their stay. However, the nature of the game is much more complex than simply committing to having sex with 52 people. Characters will have to depend on others to raise their ranks to fill card values they don’t have. Engaging with doubles is important for earning money, and doubles do not add to their decks. Their suit will act as an existence of compliance, making this “fun game” mandatory.

Characters will be forced to build and break relationships. They will have to learn how to navigate social politics and play mind games. Game 52 isn’t simple at all—there's a reason why they say that the house always wins.

MAIN

LOBBY

The main lobby is the resort’s central hub. The heart of a sprawling web, this distinct circular platform is accessible to numerous hallways that stream out to various areas of the resort. Also home to the massive central elevator bank and front reception. A 24 karat golden lounge lines the perimeter of the lobby. This open bar, casually called 24K, is a popular meet up spot since it is easy to locate through the crowds. Multiple escalators go to different levels of the first few floors of the resort and down to the parking garage. Many of the hallways in the resort bleed out to the main lobby even if not originally on the same floor.

There are bulletin boards where guests are encouraged to post fliers if there is something they need from fellow guests. Occasionally strange notes may appear. There are also advertisements for upcoming fun resort events and exhibitions (there is always a digital version of upcoming events available for guests as well). Front reception is typically staffed with a NPC staff member who can assist with questions or acquiring items.

Many of the smaller hubs throughout the resort match the aesthetic of this massive main lobby. Gold, glitz, and luxe are a constant theme in general public areas. There are many long-standing guests (NPCs) staying in the resort alongside player characters that can be found bustling around these main areas. These NPCs are available for players to mod as desired. Like many major resorts around the world, the main lobby of the Golden Peacock is busy no matter the hour.

HALLS

The veins of the resort. There are innumerable hallways and stairwells for characters to explore. These spaces are typically kept immaculate for guests and are dripping in finery and art. Several of the larger halls are furnished with comfortable seating. Guests are may find decorative fountains, statues, art installations, portraits, paintings, greenery, flora, and other various items to admire (if you can think of it it’s probably there-go wild!). During night hours, when overhead lighting is lowered for ambiance, the hallways are backlit so that guests may find their way without trouble.

Hallways in the main resort are stone. Hallways outside of guest suites are padded carpet (with the exception of basement suites which get gross scratchy carpet). Gold walls outside of guest suites are buffed so clean that they can be used as mirrors. Sometimes the figure reflected in the wall doesn’t look like you… but before a character can take too close a look the oddity is gone. On occasion, guests may find strange rusty stains on the rug where that blip of a moment occurred. Not for long, since the cleaners are quick in scrubbing up anything unsightly.

Guests may also catch a familiar aroma in hallways outside of their suites. A fleeting scent, so light that it may just be the imagination. Otherwise, hallways typically have a sterile and clean scent with a puff of resort-brand perfume. Characters may find the carts cleaners use around some of the hallways (we won’t tell anyone if they snatch some goodies while the cleaner isn’t looking).

ELEVATORS

Elevators are located in most areas of the resort. While the main bank of elevators are front-facing there are several smaller elevators in interesting locations. The interior design of each elevator is different, but all of them are used to showcase various artworks. The staff often change out the art in the elevators. Some of the artwork displayed is a bit strange or unsettling. When not surreal, artworks are blatantly erotic. Characters may even find portraits of themselves or people they know hanging in an elevator. Elevators may also carry lingering scents that trigger different emotions in characters.

Elevators go to any floor in the resort aside from basement suite and maintenance levels. Those looking to head to the basement areas will need to take the stairs. Royal rank suites may have personal elevators that open up directly to the living area of their penthouse. Players are welcome to find elevators anywhere they want and are encouraged to get creative with where they find them. Elevators hidden behind swinging paintings or built to look like a normal bookshelf are not out of the question. Size also varies. Characters may find massive elevators that will fit several guests or tiny service elevators that can squeeze in one. Have fun with this!

PARKING GARAGE

Home to the vehicles of the long-standing guests staying in the resort. Many long-standing guests have left their disgustingly expensive cars parked in the garage and completely forgotten about them in favor of resort delights. Many of the cars are left unlocked with the keys in the cup holder (or another easily accessed location). Security and valets are very relaxed and often leave their posts. Players are encouraged to create and/or explore a range of luxury cars in the parking garage.

There are also areas of the garage without any parked cars available. Characters looking for an open space with no one in the way may find the empty lot sections useful. These areas are generally desolate and do not attract the attention of either staff or long-standing guests. Lights in these sections are often out due to lack of maintenance, leaving them swathed in shadow. No matter how deep into the garage a character may go, they will not find an exit.

Players are welcome to do whatever they like with both the cars and open spaces. You do not need to ask us if you would like to break into, drive, or even crash the cars. We leave the consequences (or lack there-of for those of a high rank) up to player discretion (though if you want us mods to arrange a spanking for your character, we’re happy to). Players may purchase their own vehicles through the rewards page.

PHOENIX CASINO

The crown jewel and the Golden Peacock's pride and joy: The Casino. This dazzlingly royal blue casino spreads over 50,000 square-feet and several floors. Every section of the Phoenix offers a range of games for guests to enjoy. They even provide lessons for characters who are newbies at gambling. Card tables are the most popular choice amongst long-standing guests because of the excitement that always surrounds them, but the Phoenix Casino offers every kind of casino game you can imagine and a bunch you can’t. Players are welcome to assume any standard casino game can be found inside the Phoenix and are encouraged to make up some of their own for fun.

Characters can participate in games by betting chips or sex acts. When betting sex acts guests are required to register the act they are betting into their Watch before entering the round. Day-to-day prizes in the casino that can be won at player discretion are small payouts, medium payouts, food vouchers, and item vouchers. Events will give characters the opportunity win bigger prizes like items, regains, and upgrades.

The casino is 24-hours and the house does not differentiate between day hours and night hours inside. Time passes quickly inside the casino, so quickly characters may find themselves spending 12 hours without realizing. Characters may also notice that some long-standing guests look sallow and move clumsily during early morning hours (the timing on the clocks will say 5am - 6am). Characters who have supernatural sensitivity may be able to tell that this is more than a hangover or gambling fatigue.

Characters may also experience phantom hands touching them while playing in the casino. The touch of these hands can range from SFW to NSFW. Some of the hands are helpful and will point out winning numbers or cards. Some are trickier and will lead characters into losing. Troublesome hands will grab spots that should not be grabbed in polite company (how rude). Hands are easy to swat away as they are low level entities.

ROOST

Roost is an unofficial gambling den that appears on the lower floors of the Golden Peacock during night hours. Numerous hidden pathways lead to this secret lounge. Upon discovery, characters will find that this cramped hangout has fallen into disrepair over the years. Chairs are torn and stained, tiles are chipped, and the walls are yellowed. Resort staff questioned about this location will look at guests blankly. They have never heard of it or any abandoned lounges in the resort.

Smoke-filled and raucous, Roost hosts card and dice games over old cardtables. The dealers at Roost are tight-lipped about the existence of the den but may confirm that the name of the "manager" is Jester. They will be reluctant to share more. Characters who frequent Roost often will be given more information over several visits: Jester appears on occasion and has been known to gamble with contraband when he does. They would not want to miss games where Jester plays.

Roost does not accept bets with chips. Bets may only be placed using strange things: secrets, information, personal items with emotional significance, years of life, limbs, loyalty, various hard kinks, etc. If asked, dealers will indicate that they have ways of collecting the intangible and making sure debts are paid.

No trace of Roost can be found during the day. It will appear with no fanfare at midnight and will close during morning hours.

Jester is only available as an NPC through mod interactions during events. Please look forward to future games!

HOUSE FINCH

A rhythmic and sensual dance club. Guests eager to get their blood pumping need not look beyond House Finch. While the advertisements outside the establishment are discreet, inside guests will find a bold leather and velvet studded lounge with multiple stages and dancers wrapped around poles. Semi-private seating and private seating are available, as well as stool seating right up against the stages for prime views. The club serves light bites and artisanal cocktails to guests while the dancers offer lap dances and private shows for tips. House Finch also offers an open dance floor for guests in the mood to do some dancing themselves—and yes, there are poles for your character to get wild.

House Finch is home to the resort’s notorious love tunnel: a dark enclosure furnished with soft pillows and a variety of sex toys. Characters inside the tunnel of love may experience a heightening of physical sensation courtesy of one of the resort-engineered perfumes House Finch funnels inside. Players are welcome to have this be as subtle or intense as they wish. Encounters in the tunnel of love are traditionally anonymous but you can certainly go in with someone.

The bar menu is eclectic. House Finch is predatory in trying to make money, so most of their dishes and drinks have a dose of something to make guests more open to having fun. Players are encouraged to make up flavors and effects. A few dishes are normal, for those who are less interested in exploring those dubcon elements.

An anonymous sex club. No one wants to know who you are in Cloaca and Dagger. All who enter are required to don a mask and an outfit that hides their true identity. You can be anyone you want to be—aside from yourself—in this club. All guests can store their clothing and items at coat check and will be guided to the dressing room to select from a massive assortment of masks and costumes.

Due to the influence of Clubs over the house in this location, all Watches will enter Anonymous Mode in Cloaca and Dagger. The house has no idea what characters are discussing or getting up to, aside from potentially swapping cards. All identifying information is obscured courtesy of Clubs.

Psychedelic and strange, guests will find various lounges and rooms available for their personal use. Unlike the Naked Yolk which leans toward BDSM, all arrangements in Cloaca and Dagger are geared toward accommodating anonymous sex, clandestine negotiations, and indulging in the pretend. Illusions can be found throughout the club, from the paintings on the walls to the hall of mirrors. What is real? What isn't? There's no way to know. Some guests say that they've seen strange things and people while exploring the club... was it really all just a part of the fantasy?

If the casino isn't your style, have no fear - the Golden Peacock's game arcade is here. Inside Chickadees characters will find an array of arcade and bar games. Players are welcome to assume that the standard arcade fare are present. During day hours Chickadees generally stays PG13 with their games and events. Characters may win food and clothing vouchers in the arcade on the day-to-day. They may also win small prizes such as candy, accessories, toys, etc. The stuffies inside the claw machines during the day are quite popular amongst the long-standing due to their cuteness.

Unlike most arcades, during night hours Chickadees becomes risqué. Flirtatious games like seven minutes in heaven, spin the bottle, and strip twister kick off. Innocent prizes in the claw machines are swapped out for intimate and/or erotic goods (which characters are also welcome to win on the day-to-day). Guests are highly encouraged to take part in games with a sexy twist, not only to win a few prizes, but to better get to know their fellow cards for the sake of Game 52.

There is also a popular crepe stand inside the arcade. Characters will find a blend of Chinese and Italian sweet style crepes, along with a few other desserts. Players are encouraged to make up their own effects for various sweets.

Swan Lake is the Golden Peacock's library. Swan Lake takes on a modern and clean aesthetic, marking it as a cool oasis within the opulence of the resort. Swan Lake is named for its unique floor, which is so reflective that it feels as if one is walking on water. Tall sliding ladders and spiraling staircases can be found throughout the library for guests to access shelves on the book towers. Guests can also find comfortable cutouts and alcoves throughout the library if they want to settle down with a book (or a partner). Public, semi-private, and fully private spaces can be found. Players are welcome to make up whatever they want.

Characters can find books of all kinds within Swan Lake. A large portion of the books are erotic novels or instruction manuals for sexual acts. Regular novels and magazines can be found as well. The library boasts over 5 million books (give or take). Guests are allowed to check books out of the library if they like. If you can imagine it in a library you can find it.

The library is staffed with librarians during day hours and is technically closed at night. The doors are not locked during ‘closed’ hours. If visited during night hours, characters may have strange experiences in the library. Books may be thrown at characters by an unknown source. Characters might also catch sight of someone they know, or once knew, walking the aisles... but strange, when did that person arrive at the resort? These figments will not speak but can interact with characters by running from them, throwing items at them, or wordlessly approaching them for an intimate encounter.

If visiting the library with someone else, a phantom may copy one of the visitors to pursue the other. The copy may even try to attack the original to take their place and take over their life. Players are encouraged to mod the copy as they see fit to create fun threads. The copy will vanish under light(s) or disappear without rhyme or reason.

A haven of education. Clubs, the suit of the mind, has cut Swan Lake in half to open an institution of knowledge.

Ugly Duckling University promotes deep thinking, scientific discovery, and the study of the various elements of worlds unknown. While the classrooms are filled with kink supplies to explore a variety of sexual avenues, more than that, every corner of the Ugly Duckling provides real knowledge (to the house's horror). This university provides science labs for experimentation, music rooms with an assortment of instruments, art rooms with supplies for student use, classrooms for learning, and dorms for the full college experience. If you can find it on the typical college campus you'll find it in Ugly Duckling!

Those who wish to learn or use the facilities must wear a school uniform in order to enter the premises. Guests who wish to volunteer their time as professors must dress the part, with tweed jackets and glasses. Any guests staying over in the dorms are required to share. However, rooms only have one bed! And they were roommates.

Kink lessons are always available for guests interested in expanding their sexual knowledge. However, all kinds of classes are also available! Guests that decide to work as professors are permitted to run their own courses as well.

CLOUD DWELLING GARDEN

The Cloud Dwelling Garden is an enclosed rooftop garden located on the topmost floor of the resort. Overhead paneling offers a sky-viewing experience with digitized white clouds and sun. Like all the 'views' from resort windows, these digital images do not move and only change lighting to simulate different times of day. An abundance of thriving plants can be found in the garden. There are open lawns, winding paths, and small ponds with koi for guests to enjoy. A hedge maze lined with marble statues can also be found. Players are encouraged to imagine specific spots in the garden as they please outside of these suggestions.

Characters will also find a wide array of flora growing in the garden. Some may even be lucky enough to find varieties native to their homeland. However, characters may wish to be cautious of flowers they do not recognize — some flowers have been known to stimulate arousal and cause a variety of feelings. The resort specifically cultivates strange breeds in order to create new effects so players are welcome to create flowers as they like. There is no signage warning those who explore the garden which flowers are used in the resort's potent drugs and aphrodisiacs and which are normal.

Characters are IC-ly dissuaded from picking flowers or trampling on the carefully manicured gardens. OOC-ly, please go crazy and do whatever you want.

THE VALE

The Vale is connected to the Cloud Dwelling Garden by several pathways and stairs. Head down and discover this indoor rainforest with moss covered ground, tall trees, netting woven into the branches for guests to romp, nests, indoor rivers, overgrown vegetation, swings, unique seating, and pocket bars where meals and beverages can be purchased. Weather is a rare novelty found within the Vale - rain showers and storms are simulated to give guests the experience of living in the wilderness. The real birds that live in the Vale are also a unique attraction; they fly free and live in the trees throughout the Vale without interruption. Characters are encouraged to embrace their wild side in this simulated natural environment.

At night the Vale becomes bioluminescent. Mushrooms and various plants take on a blue hue that casts the Vale in a serene glow. Dimly lit lanterns line ground pathways. Aside from these sources of light, the Vale is thrown into darkness upon night hours to add to the real sensation of living in a rainforest.

Players are encouraged to get creative and have fun with building on what exists in the Vale. Live your jungle dreams!

CONSERVATORY

The conservatory is a continuation of the Cloud Dwelling Garden and the Vale. Inside the gardeners have cultivated fruit trees and vegetable patches, much of which are sourced down to the various restaurants in the resort upon harvest. Inside the conservatory guests will discover clouds of butterflies that are cared for by the gardeners. Alongside the butterflies, the gardeners also care for the Flemish Giant Rabbits that live openly within. These giant rabbits are friendly and not shy about begging guests that come to visit for snacks.

There are several pathways that lead through the beauty of the conservatory. Guests will also find patios with comfortable seating to sit and relax amongst the scenery. As the rabbits have free roam in this space it is not uncommon to find some of them likewise enjoying the couches. Characters can also find fruit trees, vegetable patches, and berry bushes. At night the conservatory projects the view of a starry sky on the ceiling panels.

MATING SEASON

Mating Season is the central hub created for resort guests participating in Game 52. Character profiles are kept on file at Mating Season. Characters may seek out matchmaking services with Mating Season if having difficulty meeting people. Mating Season may also reach out first to connect characters based on compatible profiles. Imagine match.com if it were much more invasive and mandatory.

Mating Season provides a variety of network and in-person services for characters. Hookup rooms are always available: a character need only apply to enter a room with a description that suits their taste for an encounter. Match-ups can be based on a specifically indicated kink, the desire to be completely anonymous, appearance requests, experience level, et cetera. Introduction pods, which are pods where two characters are locked inside together for a period of time, are also available to build friendships. Characters will be released from introduction pods upon an appropriate level of bonding. Fully immersive virtual reality pods are also available for characters to explore kinks that might not be possible in reality. Players are encouraged to utilize these services - you do not need to ask us to set up an in-person thread coordinated by Mating Season!

EARLY BIRD HALL

Golden Peacock's main food concourse. Characters may find any type of cuisine including specialities from home. They will also find new and interesting foods that are all the rage with long-standing guests. Prices at each food stand range depending on quality; characters can find a range from cheap street food to expensive bites. Stalls promoting dishes with aphrodisiacs and other altered states blend into the concourse. Some are plainly marked and some are not. Game events will include pop-ups with special food items, but players are encouraged to make up whatever they like on a day-to-day basis. Have fun. Go crazy.

The food hall is open 23-hours a day. It closes for exactly one hour: midnight to one in the morning. Characters who explore the hall during that one hour closure will find that the hall has aged. Previously bustling food stalls appear defunct, with long-settled dust coating the ground and many of the tables browned with rust. At the back of the hall a series of statues may be found. Some will be broken, some will be cracked and repaired with gold, some will be smooth white marble and some will be worn from age. They are all statues of various men and women and none of their expressions are good. Early Bird returns to normal exactly at the stroke of 1am.

Gilded Cage is the Golden Peacock's largest restaurant and lounge. It promotes itself as the perfect location for late-night conversations, romantic moments over a shared meal, and serendipitous encounters. Diamond chandeliers glow in the light of burning candles. World-class photography adorns the walls. Ornate cages hang from the ceiling. An experience of its own, Gilded Cage offers a curated menu of artisanal cocktails, an extensive selection of old and new world wines, and decadent small plates. Equal parts upscale restaurant and lounge, event space and nightclub, Gilded Cage's elegant design delivers a venue that has something for everyone.

Specialty cocktails may include aphrodisiacs. Many of the decor flowers are supplied from the Cloud Dwelling Garden and may have aromas that will increase sensitivity, and stimulate or cloud judgement. Late at night they will perfume the lounge with scents that relax the mood. Private rooms are available for couples that wish to become intimate. Players are encouraged to imagine anything here that one would expect to find in a snooty upscale restaurant. Use and strength of aphrodisiacs is up to player discretion.

THE SMOKED EGG

A clandestine smoke lounge. The Smoked Egg is dimly lit and overlaid with a flavored haze. Music is low and soothing. People speak in hushed tones. The lounge is unique in its exclusive seating of cushions and bean bag chairs for guests too relax. Every seating area has a bong with several flavors of tobacco for characters to share. Flavors include (but are not limited to): vanilla will allow them to share emotions through a bond; chocolate will make them unable to resist touching each other; strawberry will loosen their tongues so they will admit their sexual fantasies (or other truths); cherry will give them a taste for dirty talk. Players are encouraged to make up other flavor/mood combinations as they like. If smoking the cannabis, characters may see hallucinations of their regrets or people they have wronged.

It is generally understood that people hanging around The Smoked Egg are open to hooking up. Sex toys can be found in semi-private areas and it is not uncommon to end up a voyeur. Rumor has it that the atmosphere is so sensually charged that people experience phantom kisses. Characters may also find NPCs with harder drugs that are not sold in the Dizzy Pigeon. Most of the drugs freely shared in the lounge amongst guests are stimulants and hallucinogenics. Players are welcome to have their characters pick up these harder drugs as they like.

This location is popular with long-standing guests who have ties to smuggle rings. Players may have their characters engage with smugglers for small tools/weapons such as switchblades, scalpels, knives, screwdrivers, etc (anything that can fit in a pocket). Please note that these are highly prized items and it would not be easy for a character to get one, and if they do, they would get one or two at maximum. You do not need to ask the mods for permission for this.

Those bold enough to explore will head down some stairs and discover the hidden BDSM dungeon, Naked Yolk. Naked Yolk caters to those with extreme tastes in search of the same. This club features numerous themed rooms that are designed to facilitate harder kinks. Guests are welcome to come with a partner or request a match-up based on a mutual interest in a kink or play. While The Smoked Egg provides some sex toys, Naked Yolk is decked to the gills with tools and various configurations.

Characters will find all provisions to facilitate BDSM kinks, including aftercare supplies, so players are encouraged to go wild. Every room is different so any set-up and kink can be accommodated. Unlike Mating Season, which also has rooms for characters, these rooms are furnished with equipment like whips and chains. Naked Yolk is here to help characters live out their dirtiest fantasies.

Since nervous newbies stumble in all the time, Naked Yolk offers various elixirs to help facilitate and enhance play. These elixirs are unique to Naked Yolk and cannot be found in other locations. RED CARDINAL

One of the few understated locations within the resort. Tucked away from the resort’s energetic nightlife, Red Cardinal is a nondescript bar where one can relax and enjoy a no-fuss drink or meal. Alcohol is cheap, decor is traditional, and guests typically mind their own business. There are not many places in the Golden Peacock not overrun with decadence or debauchery making Red Cardinal a unique existence. NPCs whisper that the bar’s proprietress, Jin Mingming, keeps the place in check with an iron fist. Red Cardinal is meant to be a respite in the madness. She will not tolerate bullshit in her bar.

If you are respectful, the proprietress is respectful. She will treat characters who regularly visit her bar with favor. Rumors also suggest that she has knowledge regarding the shady and strange happenings going on within the Golden Peacock. If asked, she will neither confirm nor deny while wearing a mysterious smile. During busy hours the proprietress may seat guests who play Game 52 together whether they know each other or not. Space shouldn’t be wasted.

The proprietress can be interacted with as described in the text above. She is an NPC who will facilitate game events in the future so should not be modded too heavily. As always, regular NPC guests are free game.

The Golden Peacock’s daily breakfast spread. Seed is open during morning hours and offers an all you can eat bargain for a small fee. A popular deal among new guests who do not have much money, the risk of ingesting something laced with aphrodisiacs or another mood altering substance is worth the value when you are short on chips. This location is even popular among the long-standing guests who have spent too many chips in the casino the night before. Many swear the greasy breakfast sandwiches are a holy cure for a bad hangover. Players are welcome to imagine any kind of breakfast food at the buffet.

In usual resort fashion, characters may stumble across breakfast foods that alter moods. If this is not your preference your character can be one of the lucky that have an absolutely pleasant buffet experience for a great value. If it is, players are encouraged to make up their own effects. Seating for Seed is casual and spread out, and unlike many normal buffets, they do offer to-go boxes so you can stock up. The staff at Seed are unusual and tend to be kinder to the lower rank cards, so they will often encourage them to take their fill and leave extra boxes.

Absolutely not a blatant knockoff of a real life too-expensive coffee chain. Birdbucks is a popular quick service coffee spot with options for small snacks and sweets. Several locations can be found across the resort and often times a coffee cart with the Birdbucks logo will be rolling down the grander, more populated hallways. The flavor of the coffee is nothing to boast about but their specialty drinks are pretty good.

As of June 2024, the expensive chain has now been turned into a joint Birdbucks-Basking Robins. Attached to the upscale coffee stand is now an affordable ice cream stand. The baristas are really unhappy. The employees at the Basking Robins portion are much less snooty and smoke weed all day. Ice cream flavors range from your standard vanilla to options like nipple and butthole.

The Golden Peacock’s most popular dessert bar & cafe. While there are plenty of cafes to be found around the resort, Great Tit! is the trendiest. It is also the most obscene: all of their delicious desserts and drinks riff on erotica. Even the most modest guest would be hard pressed to turn down one of their desserts. The quality is sublime and the flavors are incredible. Great Tit! offers wide a range of kinky cupcakes, cakes, waffles, ice creams, cookies, and donuts. They also sell their homemade chocolate in pretty packaging, making it the perfect gift for a sweetheart with a sweet tooth.

Many of the desserts offered at Great Tit! are just erotically decorated. However, Great Tit! also has a separate Spice It Up menu with ingredients sourced from the Cloud Dwelling Garden. They serve four original flavors that can help guests get into the mood to play some Game 52. All effects are temporary.

The raspberry dark chocolate lip cookies will send characters on a kissing spree. After eating one of these cookies, characters will be heavily tempted to kiss everyone they see - and kiss, kiss, kiss them silly. A massive shopping complex in the heart of the Golden Peacock. Marked by a yellow diamond sphere in middle of hundreds storefronts, The Nest is the resort’s main hub for all things retail. Characters will find stores ranging from custom-made tailored luxury all the way to bargain bin close-outs. Small cafes and other eclectic shops can also be found within The Nest.

Due to the massive nature of The Nest please feel free to assume any kind of store can be found. Any kind of retail establishment is fair game. Players may make up names and brands as they see fit. The only exception to this rule are weapon shops. Dangerous items such as guns, swords, bombs, ninja stars, etc. cannot be found for sale within The Nest. They cannot be found for sale anywhere in the resort. Don’t worry - there will be ways for characters to get their hands on contraband. Just not above board ways.

LOVE DOVE

Love Dove is the Golden's Peacock flagship sex department store. With an impressive six floors of stock, Love Dove caters to a wide range of guest taste. Characters will find that Love Dove is a one-stop shop for kink supplies. From flimsy novelty handcuffs to industrial strength chains, Love Dove will not disappoint. There is at least one section for every kink inside of the store.

NPC staff are friendly and happy to suggest different toys and positions to spice up a guest's sex life. Characters will also find that kink supplies vary in price depending on quality. This way, low rank characters can explore kinks but will have to level up to enjoy the higher luxury supplies. Every guest playing Game 52 will receive a small free gift on their first visit to Love Dove. Players are free to be creative with what item their character receives.

Characters may hear rumors around the resort that there is a moaning ghoul that haunts the dressing rooms in Love Dove. Those who explore this claim will discover that this particular ghostly rumor is false. The dressing rooms in Love Dove are actually the Golden Peacock's favorite glory hole spot. All of the changing stalls have had holes gouged into the walls. An unexpected erection peeking into your changing room is a common occurrence.

As of June 2024, the dressing rooms are (actually) haunted by an eager voyeur that will demand whoever is in the room strip. This ghost desperately wants to look at naked guests or watch them get frisky with each other. He will cry, beg, and generally be a pathetic weirdo if guests do not grant his request. He will not willingly open the door until guests comply. Breaking all of the mirrors in the dressing room will result in him crumbling to the mirror-ground in tears before he finally opens the door.

Ambitious guests with a taste for science (or who love drugs) are welcome to come in and create their own concoctions with what ingredients are in stock.

Characters can find a variety of mild drugs that induce pleasure or increase libido. They will also find painkillers and typical pharmacy over the counter drugs available for purchase. The store also carries a supply of bandages and aftercare products as well as hangover tonics. Regular cigarettes and other small counter items, such as mints and gum, can likewise be found.

ROOKERY

A strange night market that appears on random floors of the resort after midnight. Marked by dazzling lanterns, Rookery is a makeshift coalition of merchants stretched out on blankets selling oddities. These merchants do not take part in friendly banter with characters who stumble across them. They are silent unless negotiating a sale. Characters are welcome to set up shop in the Rookery themselves and sell whatever they have to offer. Much like Roost, most of the buying and selling is of the intangible but they do accept chips. Imagine a flea market that randomly wanders and settles in odd places during the night—that's more or less what Rookery is.

Characters will find that items offered at the Rookery are not normal. Unlike the Nest, what characters can find ranges from broken junk to strange treasures. Not everything is legitimate but occasionally there will be an item that holds up to its promises. Players may have their characters pick up small items with very slight interesting effects on the daily. Events will provide larger and specific options.

Rookery is always gone before artificial sunrise. Staff will have no idea what guests are talking about if asked about Rookery.

Cock-a-doodle-doo's is the Golden Peacock's branded convenience store where characters can find basic necessities like toiletries, snacks, drinks, sandwiches, rice balls, and bento meals. Their fried chicken is multi-world famous. Prices are reasonable and the cashier will even warm up your meal for you if you would like.

Characters can also find small items like magazines and basic zip-sealed clothing (plain tees, underwear) for cheap. There is also a section of store branded snacks that induce various effects. Characters will find snacks ranging from normal effects (sleep aids, relaxants, endurance enhancing) to NSFW effects (erections, sensitivity, small physical changes). TALON

The resort's fitness center. This multi-floor gym is fully furnished with a variety of cardio and strength equipment. Players are welcome to assume that all standard and not-so-standard equipment can be found in Talon. All machines are state of the art. There are multiple rooms that can be used for training, including padded and fortified rooms for characters looking to go all out. There is also an open boxing ring popular for random match-ups. Players may imagine up any kind of training space they would like.

Characters will also find locker rooms in Talon. These locker rooms connect to Beak, making it easy to move between training and recreational spaces. Locker rooms are not segregated by gender. Inside characters will find an open-concept shower space and a large shared relaxation pool. There are complimentary soaps, lotions, hair dryers, and linens available for guests to use.

The hands from the casino are back. When they are not bothering guests on the poker floor, they are here causing trouble in the locker rooms. Characters may find themselves on the end of a towel whip from one of these ghost hands—and, as always, they’ll try to pin the crime on someone else present. Hands may also get up to NSFW mischief in the showers and soaking pool.

The Golden Peacock's recreational center. Characters will find an olympic sized swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor track ring, batting cages, mini golf courses, bowling lanes, and so on. Players are encouraged to create spaces within Beak as they like. Keeping with Golden Peacock high standards, no expense has been spared on these state of the art facilities. Basketball hoops are gem encrusted. Heavy sporting areas are perfumed to avoid stench. Courts are kept spotless when not in use. The toilets have bidets for swamp ass. Point being: players are encouraged to make up whatever high-tech and insane amenities as liked. You want a basketball court with no gravity? You got it. Go crazy.

Beak is connected to Talon through shared locker rooms, making it easy to transition from recreation to training. Locker rooms are not separated by gender. They feature an open shower area, a soaking pool, and a steam sauna. There are ghost hands that like to play around inside the locker rooms. You may find yourself on the tail end of a towel whip courtesy of these ghost hands—and, as usual, they will try to pin their crimes on someone else.

CRANE'S RESPITE

The Golden Peacock’s bath house. Stepping inside Crane’s Respite will take your character away to another world—one of water, stone, and relaxation. The main hall of Crane’s Respite is home to dozens of bathing pools of different temperatures. Mud baths, salt baths, hot baths, cold baths, rose petals, jasmine oil, you name it. Every guest is sure to find a bath that suits their taste. Players are welcome to get creative with the baths available.

There are several stone grottos expanding out from the main hall. Water pathways ribbon out from these grottos and surge into caverns and pockets, creating a water labyrinth for characters to explore. There are many pockets to take refuge in and relax throughout the labyrinth. Some pockets offer an experience for two, such as a salt cave where guests can scrub each other with natural salts. All water pathways lead back to a grotto and the main bath hall.

Some of the caves in the water labyrinth are strange. The mirror cave is a pocket where a massive mirror has been embedded into one of the stone walls. All reflections of characters in this place act strangely, of their own accord, looking at characters when they look away or acting differently than a reflection should. Some will even gaze at a character or whoever a character is with amorously. The creature cave has a separate pool within the stone platform, one that ripples with movement every so often. Rumor has it that something lives in there but none of the long-standing guests have any proof.

Players are encouraged to make up their own caves as well!

Transitioning from stone to wood, characters will find a range of beauty services draped in the comfort of cedar and cherry. Facials, massages, hot stone, seaweed body wraps, reflexology, acupuncture, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and paraffin treatments are all available. Or more—players are encouraged to make up whatever treatments they would like. Heron’s retreat also houses the resort’s salon and make-up studio, so characters may get a haircut or makeover here as well.

Players may imagine anything found in a spa in Heron’s retreat. Any of the spa's treatments may take a NSFW spin and many of the materials the spa uses can induce NSFW effects. Most of the treatments offered in the spa come as a couples package, so if your character isn’t with a partner, the spa may randomly pair them up with another single to enjoy services with.

BROKEN WING

Accidents happen, even in a luxury resort that caters to your every whim. Broken Wing is the resort’s medical clinic and is open 24-hours. A doctor and nurse are on hand for emergencies but characters are also welcome to use the self service area to take care of small wounds on their own. Broken Wing is fully stocked with medical supplies. It also caters to guests with strange constitutions and diets (for those ethical vampires). Characters do not need to pay for treatment at the clinic regardless of card rank, with the exception of life-saving surgery. Characters who die and are revived in the clinic will find their bank account drained and their rank reduced to 2 as payment.

Rooms in the clinic are also available to rent for roleplaying kinky doctor/patient encounters. Basic condoms, lube, and aftercare materials can be picked up for free in Broken Wing.

BACK HALLWAYS & STAIRS

Staff hallways that run throughout the Golden Peacock. These are intended for employee use only. Characters may find their way to them without much difficulty. Those bold enough to head back and explore, despite signage advising that these hallways are only for staff use, will find that there are no staff to be found using them. They are plain, empty, and eerie. These hallways have very little lighting.

Time is distorted when traveling through the back hallways. Your character may find themselves exiting somewhere completely unexpected after a short walk. Entering at a low level location and walking a single hallway could connect your character to the rooftop garden. Going from the second floor to the first floor could take an hour. Astute characters may notice that following the same path will not always let them out at the same location. The time and destination are random.

The employee hallways weave through the entire hotel and characters may find a door leading to them nearly anywhere in the Golden Peacock. Entrances/exits can be found in subtle locations, out of the way to avoid attention. Some will be locked but can be opened if your character has enough will or skill. While the staff do not usually stop their guests from doing much, you may NPC an employee coming to stop your character from using these back hallways if they are seen. They will try to shoo your character back to the resort proper.

MAINTENANCE

The lowest levels of the resort that are accessible only by stairs. Heading down the lightless stairwell beneath the 2 rank suites will lead to the maintenance floors and tunnels. In stark contrast to the glamor of the resort, underneath the decadence hides oozing brick walls and rusted over gates. Many metal doors lead to rumbling machinery that keeps the resort functioning. Scents of oil, dust, and ash are thick in the air. Once again, despite the manpower required to keep a massive resort functioning, there are no staff to be found doing any maintaining.

Characters who explore thoroughly may find strange looking egg shaped pods that have long been rendered defunct. There are also ominous black doors found on the lowest level with faded lettering. Diligent characters can uncover that these doors are printed with: PUNISHMENT PROTOCOL. They do not appear to have been opened in quite some time. Unlike most everything else in the maintenance levels/resort, these rooms are padlocked and cannot currently be opened.

Characters may hear strange noises coming from the maintenance floors at night. There are rumors around the resort that the maintenance levels are haunted but none of the long-standing guests have personally had an experience. Characters who explore the maintenance levels may hear whispers. These whispers are all cruel accusations about your character's past crimes or mistakes.

IRON NET

While the resort generally does not stop guests from doing whatever they like, there are a few rules. If a rule has been broken or someone has been caught committing a crime they will be escorted to the Iron Net. These are holding cells behind the main lobby. Despite the tough name, the Iron Net is quite comfortable. Inmates will be greeted by padded beds, fresh linens, and three high quality boxed meals a day during their incarceration. Inmates are allowed entertainment, games, and can even call a friend for a conjugal visit.

Security does not take “jail” too seriously and will typically release a character within a day or two. They may even randomly vanish and leave characters alone with the cells unlocked. No record of crimes are kept. Once a character has served their sentence they are considered expunged. Whatever crime your character has committed it … seems like they don't actually mind?

Reasons characters may be sent to the Iron Net include but are not limited to: Stealing from stores; dining and dashing; being caught cheating at the casino; damaging resort property without paying for it; extreme crimes like murder, arson, kidnapping and so on. If you just want your character to be tossed in prison feel free to make up whatever reason and random rule broken. It isn't uncommon for long-standing guests to go to the Iron Net for a taste of 'hard prison life' for fun and they will encourage characters to give it a try as well.

At the back of the first floor, behind several doors marked employees only, is the resort’s storage quarter. Characters that sneak back here will find long aisles of stock for various locations around the resort. Boxes are carefully organized and accounted for. There will be the occasional security guard walking along these aisles—interesting only because security isn’t consistent anywhere else. Security are not particularly adept or skilled but they will chase any characters they find in the stockroom away.

Characters skilled enough to avoid security attention and bent on getting inside boxes will mostly find normal stock like towels and sex toys. A very thorough character may find a few scattered items tucked away in unobtrusive corners that were clearly personal items of guests such as but not limited to: jewelry, hair pins, cufflinks, faded photographs, clothing, make up, etc. Any odd personal items found will all be aged. We do ask players not to have their characters find too many strange personal items! One or two per character that explores this area is fair.

Characters who are caught in the back storage room and are not skilled enough to get away from security will be sent to the Iron Net for two days. Get good, nerd.

No! The resort is a behemoth and the main hubs are designed for flexibility. Please feel free to create stores inside The Nest and Early Bird Hall. Other random boutiques can be found around the resort as well as desired. You don't need to give them bird-pun names but doing so would tickle us.

The resort is abnormal and has plenty of random little alcoves and holes. Please feel free to use your imagination. Our main exception are weapon shops. Weapons are considered contraband and not openly sold. There will be under-the-table ways to get your hands on them, outside of rewards.

▶ IS THERE ANY OTHER RESORT FLAVOR WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
Characters can find bathrooms on almost every floor. Lounge chairs and benches are available throughout the main halls and hubs. There are beautiful statues of marble and gold on each level with an eerie lifelike quality. However, if touched, characters will find that the statues are stone or metal.

There are also fake trees and flora around for decoration. Dangling lights and lanterns. Grand archways. It's an opulent resort, so feel free to use your imagination on its grandness. An important note is that there are no real outdoor locations and no real views of outside. All windows views are digitized still-frames that only change lighting with time of day. All 'outdoor' locations are created to mimic the outdoors but are still very much inside the resort.

▶ ARE THE 'STAFF ONLY' AREAS OFF LIMITS TO CHARACTERS?
Not at all! 'Staff Only' is an IC designation. These are areas that characters are not encouraged to go by employees but OOC-ly you can do whatever you want. We have added descriptions on what can be found to all locations to help drum up some intrigue in your threads.

▶ SO WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE WANT WITH THE INFORMATION SHARED FOR EACH LOCATION?
Yes. We believe in OOC transparency because we are all playing in this game together. We are not trying to shock you or leave you with nothing to do until we drop an event. We hope you can have fun with your characters exploring the resort. Interest points are a quick overview of general activities or interactive elements that can be found in that location. Supernatural points are a quick overview of the oddities that can be played with.

We do ask that you avoid info-modding and having your character discover all of these intrigues too quickly. We trust you to use your judgement on what IC-ly makes sense for your character to notice and for what OOC-ly is respectful of everyone's fun. Characters should not be discovering every single one of these elements in a short period of time and then announcing all their findings all over the network. That kills the fun for the rest of us.

As a rule of thumb, your character should not be assaulted by the supernatural every single night even when seeking it out. We suggest players pace out or pick elements they find most interesting to engage with.

▶ HOW CAN CHARACTERS PAY FOR ITEMS AT THESE LOCATIONS?
The currency in the resort are chips. Since all currency is digital characters must use their Watch to pay. Think along the lines of how your standard Apple watch works.

Some locations (usually the more risque ones) will accept sex acts in exchange for items and services as well. If chips are not accepted or not preferred it is indicated in that location's description above. But hey, if you want to write a thread where your characters get free drinks for giving each other oral sex with a NPC bartender watching, go for it. We encourage you to get creative, especially for the sake of a kink. We’re playing fast and loose here.

▶ CAN MY CHARACTER GET A JOB AT ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS?
Yes and no. It would be appalling to have guests work while they should be having fun and indulging in the amenities. How could they turn their guests into staff? However, it is perfectly acceptable for guests to volunteer their time at any of the above locations if they would like to add some variety to their schedule.

What does that mean? The resort won’t allow guests to become staff in name, but “volunteering because of whimsy” is of course acceptable. Guests who “volunteer” can work and earn vouchers for food or items in the resort as “thanks” for “donating their time”. So, yes, they can have a job in everything but name and proper chip payments.

▶ ARE THE SUPERNATURAL ELEMENTS ALWAYS PRESENT?
The supernatural elements come and go. They are not consistent. Your character may have the feeling of being watched by the paintings in the elevator one night and not feel anything for the rest of the week. Not all of the statues are eerie. The library figments may decide to leave your character alone for a while after an intense encounter. The most consistent supernatural facets are the back hallways, which always have a strange distortion of time and output location.

▶ MY CHARACTER HAS ABILITIES RELATED TO THE SUPERNATURAL. WHAT GENERAL SENSE CAN THEY GET?
Let's call a spade a spade: this place is haunted as fuck. Characters with a sense for this or powers that run adjacent (or semi-adjacent, we know some canons have their own gimmicks) can certainly tell.

By what may be a bit more vague. Ghosts and spirits certainly, but they will be able to sense that there may be other elements at play. Positive and negative energy fluctuates throughout the resort. They may also sense that some of the long-standing guests are lost spirits. If questioned, these long-standing guests will say they have been checked in to the resort for a long time and that they love it there and do not plan on leaving. They do not know that they are lost spirits, or even dead. Their game of “52” has been forever paused, and if asked, they will say they’re taking a break from the game after playing for a long long long time.

▶ WILL LOCATIONS AND THEIR SUPERNATURAL ELEMENTS BE EXPANDED UPON?
Yes! Game events and TDMs will expand upon the resort and the supernatural elements. Our plan is to lay out the map of the resort and expand upon locations and their points instead of having each event reveal a new location (though this also may happen in the future).
